Professional Experience

Mr. Sarmiento specializes in forensic accounting, fraud, embezzlement and employee misconduct investigations.    His experience includes fraud investigation in connection with complex real estate investments, lost profits, and environmental damages.

 

Prior to his current position, Mr. Sarmiento has performed internal audit, Sarbanes–Oxley implementation and consulting engagements for companies of various sizes.  His work has encompassed a wide variety of industries including manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, telecommunications, biosciences, retail, professional services, insurance, energy, real estate, and high technology. 

 

Mr. Sarmiento received his Bachelor of Science in Accounting, magna cum laude, from the Polytechnic University of the Philippines.  He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), and a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA). He also holds a Certification in Control Self Assessment (CCSA), which enables him to assist clients in evaluating and assessing business risks and identifying controls to minimize those risks.
